After completing M.SC (computers),Surya (Jeet) wanders around Kuchbihar city without any job and falls in love with Poulami (Sayantika) at first sight.Poulami avoids Surya initially but soon develops soft corner towards him. She is sister of a builder in Kolkata , The Charecter pays by Asish Ji.but she lives with her cousin Madan Mohan (Kharaj) in Kuchbihar.Now the drama shifts to Kolkata Surya comes to Kolkata When Poulami shifts there A rowdy called Tony (Mukul Dev) vows that he would marry Poulami Only.The rest of the film is how Surya Takes on Tony….

Awara Is Based on the story that shows the kind of awarapan the hero does to get his love. Actor Jeet is playing the charecter of ‘Surya’ who came to stay at ‘Poulami’ (charecter playd by actress Sayantika) residence as a tenant. Surya from then onwards started to follow Poulami everywhere & fought to protect her from the goons. Jeet & Sayantika both played a charecter shows awaragiri at most. Quite a few dialogues will definitely stay in the mind of viewers and one of them for sure is “Maa-r gur diye ruti, Chini diye cha, Phu diye kha”
